Dennis Leuthold wechselt zu Slingshot. Um den Fahrer ein wenig mehr vorzustellen, gibt es eine kleine Vorstellung von Dennis Leuthold, das Slingshot geführt hat.
Hallo Dennis, wo bist du aufgewachsen?
Dennis: Ich bin in der Elb-Metropole Hamburg aufgewachsen. Um das zu machen was ich Liebe, musste ich aus Hamburg weg ziehen. Jetzt wohne ich mitten im Meer auf der Insel Fehmarn.
Wie lebt es sich auf der Insel Fehmarn?
Dennis: Es ist sehr entspannt und es wird nie langweilig. Das Privileg zu haben da zu wohnen, wo andere Urlaub machen, ist schon toll. Auch wenn das Wetter/Klima extrem ist, wohne ich gern hier… oder grade deswegen.
Es hat eigentlich immer Wind und da Fehmarn eine Insel ist, liegt es sehr nahe das man für jede Windrichtung ein tollen Spot gibt – egal ob Flat oder Wave, es ist alles da.
Wie sehen die nächsten 5 Jahre aus?
Dennis: Ich möchte immer noch in Top-Form sein und tun, was ich am meisten liebe.
Warum Slingshot?
Dennis: Die Produkte und die Philosophie der Marke passen bestens zu mir. Den auf das Wakboarden getrimmten Aspekt finde ich gut und er ist zeitgemäß. Slingshots Blick ist vorausschauend und fortschrittlich und steht sich nicht selbst im Weg.
Wie findest du das Material:
Dennis: Auf der Fahrt an den Spot begleitet mich ein gutes Gefühl und freue mich auf die kommende Session.
Egal ob ich in die Welle gehe oder bei Free-/Wakestyle mich im Flat austobe, Fette Big Airs oder Megaloops reiße, weiß ich, dass ich mich zu hundert Prozent auf mein eingesetztes Slingshot Material verlassen kann.
Was machst du, wenn du nicht gerade kitest?
Dennis: Dann treffe ich meine Freunde oder versuche die Zeit mit Wakeboarden, SUP oder Wellenreiten zu verbringen.

Dennis: Danke schön. Ich freu mich riesig und es ist ein gutes Gefühl in das Slingshot Team aufgenommen worden zu sein. Es ist eine Ehre mit einigen der größten Namen zusammen in einem Team zu sein. Teil des Slingshot Teams zu sein ist etwas, worauf ich sehr stolz bin.
Die Rider bei Slingshot sind ein dynamisches nicht aufdringliches Team, das schätze ich.
Die SS Rider und haben ein Hang zum Extremen, fahren am Limit des Machbaren. Ich selber fahre gerne in Extrembereichen und pushe mich an mein Limit, ob es in der Welle ist oder beim Freestyle.

Dennis: I grew up in Hamburg, but to do the things I love I had to move away. Now I live in the middle of the Baltic sea on the island Fehmarn.
How is life on the island Fehmarn?
Dennis: It is really relaxed and it never gets boring. For me it is a privilege to live there where others go on holiday. Even if sometimes the weather is a bit extreme, I like to live here ….or actually just because of that.
There is almost always wind and due to the fact that it is an island there is a spot for every wind direction from flat water to waves, there is everything.
How do your next five years look like?
Dennis: I still want to be in top shape and want to do what I love the most.
Why Slingshot?
Dennis: I can identify myself with the products and the philosophy of the brand. I like that the products are trimmed in a wakeboard style and I think this is really up-to-date. Slingshots looks forward is advanced and they don’t get in their own way.
What do you think of the material?
Dennis: On the way to the spot I have a good gut feeling and can look forward to my next session.
It does not matter if I go into the waves or do free/wakestyle in the flat with crazy big airs or megaloops. I can always rely to 100% on my used Slingshot material. That makes kiting a lot of fun.
What do you do, when you are not kiting?
Dennis: Then I meet friends or I try to use my time actively with wakeboarding, SUP or surfing.

The riders of Slingshot are a dynamic and not intrusive, I really appreciate that.
The SS riders have a tendency to the extremes; they are going to the limit. I ride in extreme areas myself and push myself to the limit and it does not matter if that is in waves or on the flat water.
